Navrathri Pooja Day 3

Photobucket
Navratri is celebrated from the first to ninth date of

Ashwin Shukla Paksha of the Hindu Calendar for the worship of Goddess Durga, a

festival of worship, dance and music celebrated over a period of nine nights. Goddess

Durga is believed to exist in many forms like Goddess Bhavani, Jagdamba,

Mahakali ...
I have always seen my mother perform special pooja on

these days with lots of sweets and festive foods waiting to be eaten by us. But when

my turn came i decided to perform pooja on all 9 days with a special naivedhyam each

day for the devi .On the 10th day i have a big list to do......I couldnt take pictures of the

first two days pooja .

As a part of this i would also love to share the

different stories and different avataras of Maa Durga which i have seen or read or

heard from various sources..But the main source would be my Granny(Fathers

mother). So as of now am in the process and soon would be posting those wonderful

stories for all the people who are interested in mythology......Keep Watching!!!!
